We are at a red light on Sloat Boulevard when my phone started to vibrate.

I’ve had a Yahoo account for over 10 years without a problem, even as I moved my business accounts over to Gmail.

Shouldn’t my security questions have been presented in this scenario? I also have location history turned on, so it’s not just my own manually saved locations (some of which are ancient), but Yahoo’s automated location technology keeping track of me. A simple rule set could have been applied here where users are asked to validate identity if the login (even a successful one) is outside of a 500 mile radius of any prior location.

I’ll shoot off an email the next time I get a hacked email from someone.

Initially, I moved all of my 30,000 emails off to a local PST in Outlook 2013 (which took quite awhile) and I found that some 400 emails remained in I then restored about 4,000 emails (which can now only be done via IMAP! I have since deleted my profile and recreated it 4 times, most recently last night. In fact when I recreated my profile last night 3 items didn't sync from the get go. Regards, Mark Microsoft is conducting an online survey to understand your opinion of the Technet Web site.

This morning there are now 4 items missing in Outlook 2013. All of my other methods and devices for accessing are working correctly... Although my experience is only anecdotal, it would seem the new implementation of EAS in Outlook 2013 is at fault. If you choose to participate, the online survey will be presented to you when you leave the Technet Web site.

Here are the two important lessons I learned as a result.

For some reason, the official production release of Outlook 2013 requires Outlook to be literally pointed at an IMAP inbox in order for it to respect IMAP delivery without delay.
